All songs start with the simplicity of capturing a moment, expressing a feeling, or telling a story. My songs are my life diary - era's of time, where I have had the urge to capture the moment in a song. I like to write lots of songs...just letting it flow without any expectations. When my mind is fully immersed in a theme I write very quickly, in just a few minutes. My favourite songs get more work and attention and evolve to demo recordings and then maybe a final studio recording. Some acoustic songs are better left pure and raw, some are very personal, some can be stretched to different styles and formats, and some make it to release other live or in a full band sound. You might notice a wide range of styles - epic songs, love songs, destination songs etc. Thanks for listening!
When I play, I tend to jump around the different era's of songs and pick songs for the moment to play now, depending on the mood.
And I always like to be challenged in writing a song for someone as a special gift!
