Not sure what song to play?

It can cause some angst about what to play if you are a straight beginner or have a new band together.

Here's my number 1 tip on what to play...

PLAY WHAT YOU LIKE

By working on a song you like, you will already be more focused and more determined to stick it out.

And remember you can always start super simple and play the simple version first and then get better. You don't have to sound like Taylor or Adele or Olivia or Ed straight up!

Just work on your slower and more acoustic version!

And when you are learning a new song, just break it down to super simple parts. And don't worry about the bum notes - as you get better and things flow more naturally there will be less bum notes - remember everyone, even world class profesisonals, hit bum notes...it's all part of the musical journey!!!

It's better not to waste time debating for too long which songs to play...just play!

Everyone will learn something new from any song. And it's good to be able to play lots of different songs anyway - just use it as a learning opportunity.

I hear about and see it alot - bands waste sooooo much time figuring out what to play!

Want's most important...it to just play!
